Digits, Broncos, Ponies Begin Season

LV Gold Digits opened their season with a 4-3 win over Tekamah-Herman Gold. They scored single runs in the 1st and 2nd innings before Tekamah tied it up in the top of the 4th. LV responded with two runs of their own in the bottom of the 4th and held on from there for the win. Levi Fitzke, Raymond Beckstrom, Ashton Hoff and Bryce Fitzke scored the runs for the Digits. B. Fitzke and Hoff did the pitching.

LV Gold Broncos had a tough start to their season, dropping their game to Howells-Dodge Green 22-2. LV scored their runs in the 4th inning, when Brantly Oberg reached on a base hit and Mitchell Whitaker walked. Both players scored later in the inning. Will Baltzer had the only other hit for the Broncos.

In Tekamah, LV Blue Digits dropped a close game 5-3. LV pushed across a run in the 1st inning as Carter Von Seggern walked and Weston Rasmussen tripled him home. LV scored two runs in the 4th inning on two walks and a base hit. Von Seggern, Rasmussen and Luke Munderloh were the pitchers for LV.

LV Blue Broncos jumped out to an early lead as they defeated Tekamah-Herman Purple 16-1. The Broncos scored 8 runs in the top of the 1st inning and they never looked back. Henry Camenzind, Cooper Taylor and Ryker King scored three runs apiece, while Everett Petersen, Vinny Cunningham and Waylon Reynolds scored 2 runs. Taylor and Petersen handled the pitching, combining for nine strikeouts.

On Thursday, LV Ponies began their season in a big way with a 15-0 win at Wisner. There was plenty of offense, with Oliver Stanton getting three hits. Jacob Peters, Reece Pekarek and Will Foust had two hits apiece, with Peters and Pekarek hitting home runs. Colton Stockamp and Graidon Drey did the pitching, allowing no runs and recording 10 strikeouts between them.
